Halfbrick Studios, together with Ian Fitz, the original creator of The Thrill of the Fight that first wowed boxing fans back in 2016, has finally released the eagerly anticipated sequel. Now available in Early Access on Quest, this new installment is ready to deliver punches on a wide range of devices, including Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro.
This reimagined version of the beloved boxing simulator marks a significant evolution, especially since the first game focused heavily on PvE matches. Today, however, invites gamers into the ring for thrilling online PvP boxing battles, which has been one of the most asked-about features from fans.
Halfbrick Studios announced, "Our early access launch centers around multiplayer modes, enabling players who have been clamoring for online competition to dive straight in. As for the single-player experience and additional enhancements to multiplayer, they’ll roll out progressively throughout the early access period."
Looking ahead, the developers are committed to expanding the game well into 2025. Future updates promise to introduce new single-player modes featuring AI opponents with realistic, dynamic behaviors and looks, along with diverse training options. The plan is to keep enriching the game with more content and polished features to ensure players have the most immersive boxing experience possible.
For now, players can enjoy not only the customizable avatars and online PvP with skill-based matchmaking but also experience highly realistic fight mechanics. The Thrill of the Fight 2 aims to deliver that authentic boxing sensation its predecessor was famous for.
Adding a layer of excitement, the sequel incorporates a spectator camera. This feature allows your friends or fans to watch your brawls from a ‘live sports’ perspective through a linked PC, bringing a new level of engagement to the game.
