This week, the Nintendo Switch eShop has some exciting updates in store for you, offering a mix of nostalgic SNES games, additions to their music app, enticing sales, and a fresh batch of upcoming titles.
Nintendo Switch Online is expanding its library with four classic SNES titles from the renowned developer Koei, a name synonymous with the golden era of the Super Nintendo. First on the list is Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness. Both strategical masterpieces hailing from 1993 and 1994 plunge you into Japan’s historic Sengoku period, challenging you to reunite a fractured nation through battles and cunning strategy.
Following these is Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire, a beloved 1994 title set amidst the tumultuous era of China’s Three Kingdoms. As a player, you’ll engage in turn-based strategy inspired by the rich tapestry of historical events from the famous novel of the same name.
Rounding out this collection from Koei is Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. Sail back to 1993 with this European trade and exploration gem, set during the Age of Discovery, where you’ll command your fleet to new horizons in search of fame and fortune.
Turning to audio delights, the Nintendo Music app is also seeing expansions, albeit somewhat teasingly. This week adds 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land to its library. Curiously, it’s just a portion of the complete soundtrack, leaving us wondering when the rest will dock. Perhaps in the upcoming seasons?
On the horizon, a slew of new titles will be gracing the Switch eShop, including Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. If you’re keen to learn more, check out our chat with the developers, Turtle Flip Studio, in the latest Pure Nintendo Podcast, and keep an eye out for our detailed review soon.
That’s the eShop lineup for this week! What games are catching your fancy? We’re excited to hear what adventures you’re diving into currently.
