The recently unveiled Light of Motiram, developed by Tencent’s subsidiary, Polaris Quest, positions itself as a game set in a “mechanimal-ruled open world.” Players are tasked with surviving in a realm dominated by massive machines after the fall of human civilization.

Right after the trailer dropped, the gaming community couldn’t help but draw comparisons to the Palworld/Pokemon scenario. Palworld, a game that mimics Pokemon closely, is currently entangled in legal battles as Nintendo has charged developer Pocketpair with patent infringement.
