Combat Waffle, the creative minds behind Ghosts of Tabor, are on the brink of unveiling their next VR adventure, Silent North. Set to deliver an exhilarating blend of multiplayer zombie survival, this game is slated for an early access release on Quest and Steam sometime in March.
Published by Beyond Frames Entertainment, Silent North transports gamers to the majestic Swiss Alps, a once serene landscape now crawling with the undead—and treacherous humans who are just as eager to pillage. Whether you choose to forge alliances or brave it alone, you’ll need to scavenge for supplies while fending off a relentless wave of zombies.
Combat Waffle describes the experience as a mix of player vs. player vs. environment, with action that demands you confront both other players and the infected, no matter where you are in the game. Whether you’re exploring the peaks or the lowlands, every encounter is a heart-pounding test of survival tactics. Be wary; rivals could be lurking in the shadows, poised to ambush you.
For those eager to jump in, Silent North is now up for pre-order on the Horizon Store with a tempting price tag of $17—a neat 15% reduction off its full launch cost of $20. You can also add it to your wishlist on Steam, where it will feature the same introductory discount when it launches.
As it prepares for its March debut in early access on Steam and Horizon, Combat Waffle is still keeping mum about launch dates for other platforms, including PSVR 2 and Pico headsets.
As of an update on February 21st, 2024, the studio confirmed their target is March, though they haven’t pinned down an exact date just yet.
