It looks like “Split Fiction,” the game that recently hit the shelves, is on its way to becoming a film! According to Variety, the folks over at Story Kitchen are the ones taking the reins on this project, assembling a team of actors, writers, and a director. This isn’t their first rodeo; they’ve also been involved in adapting Hazelight’s “It Takes Two” over at Amazon, not to mention working on adaptations for “Toejam and Earl,” “Slime Rancher,” and “Vampire Survivors.”
It seems like Hollywood is buzzing with interest, as multiple top studios are vying for the chance to be part of this exciting venture.
“Split Fiction,” which dropped in March, made quite the entrance by selling a staggering one million copies in just 48 hours. And it gets better—it hit the two million mark after just a week! It’s no wonder Hazelight was ecstatic, sharing their excitement on Bluesky. “Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing,” they wrote, expressing gratitude to both new and longtime fans for their enthusiasm and support.
Meanwhile, the “It Takes Two” film adaptation is looking promising with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on board. Plus, the writing team includes Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who worked on “Sonic the Hedgehog.” Looks like we have some exciting film adaptations to look forward to!
