As November wraps up, PlayStation Plus is rolling out a fresh batch of games for subscribers to dive into. This December, PS Plus is treating its members to a compelling trio of titles, highlighted by the inclusion of a highly acclaimed Game of the Year winner from the 2021 Game Awards. On top of that, fans of nostalgic PS2 games have a reason to celebrate, as some beloved classics are being added to the Classics Catalog for Premium members.
For those with PS Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium memberships, December brings in an exciting lineup of It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem. These games will be available for download starting December 3, 2024, and members have until January 6, 2024, to add them to their library. Both It Takes Two and Aliens: Dark Descent can be enjoyed on PS4 and PS5 platforms, while Temtem is exclusive to the PS5.
As this new selection of games enters the scene, three others will bow out. If you haven’t yet secured Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged, Ghostwire: Tokyo, or Death Note Killer Within from the November offering, be sure to do so by December 2, 2024, before they disappear from the free selection.
There are a few extra treats for PS Plus Premium members this holiday season. Starting December 3, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 will be available for a game trial, although its duration hasn’t been specified. Typically, these trials last between one to three hours, so plan accordingly to get the most out of this preview.
The Classics Catalog for PS Plus Premium subscribers is getting some exciting additions, with two beloved PS2 mascots making their entrance. Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves are now part of the service, completing the entire trilogy for fans to enjoy. Additionally, Naughty Dog’s Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy has also joined the catalog. Gamers can jump back into these adventures as either Sly or Jak starting December 10, 2024.
