PowerColor has introduced two more Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card models onto their official website, expanding their lineup.
In the spotlight are the Hellhound and Reaper series following the Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU. Both new entries promise top-tier cooling performance, which will certainly catch the eye of PC building enthusiasts. For those keeping an eye on RDNA 4’s progress, these models mark another significant step. PowerColor, a key AMD board partner, has gradually been rolling out their RX 9000 GPUs, first teasing them at CES. Until now, their site featured only the Red Devil edition of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, renowned for being the standout in terms of speed.
Recently, PowerColor has been teasing the Hellhound Radeon RX 9070 XT, and details about the Reaper series emerged even before CES kicked off. So, the unveiling of these cards was anticipated, but they are not yet available for purchase. Videocardz recently spotted listings for both the Hellhound and Reaper Radeon RX 9070 XT on PowerColor’s website, revealing their designs to the public.
Official specs from AMD or any of their partners haven’t dropped yet. However, we can glean a bit of insight into the Hellhound RX 9070 XT’s appearance: it sports a straightforward look with a three-fan setup and an adequately large heatsink. It’s a 2.5-slot card, featuring the Hellhound logo on two of its fans, while the middle fan sports a redesigned PowerColor logo compared to its predecessor, the RX 7900 XTX. It offers four output ports: three DisplayPort and one HDMI.
The Reaper Radeon RX 9070 XT, on the other hand, features rounded edges with a simple, plain shroud also housing three fans in a 2.5-slot format and hosts the same I/O options as the Hellhound. The main difference anticipated between these cards is their boost clocks, with the Hellhound likely to clock higher.
Details are still under wraps for any specs across the PowerColor RX 9070 XT series. It’s now looking like we’ll be waiting longer than first expected to see these specs revealed. AMD has slated these cards for a March launch, so official details won’t be released immediately. AMD has shared that they’re still refining the software stack to enhance performance on the RX 9000 series GPUs, which has resulted in a delay.
