Marvel Rivals is quickly approaching its three-month milestone, yet it feels as if the popular hero shooter has been part of our gaming universe for much longer. With its impressive content delivery, massive player engagement, and even some heated debates stirring the pot, it truly seems like a free-to-play veteran. Despite its relative youth, another exciting event is set to debut, featuring a bold, time-limited mode that’s sure to capture your attention over the upcoming three weekends. Coincidentally, NetEase has just unveiled some patch notes for the new update, bringing along a few much-anticipated improvements.
Introducing Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure, this fresh event in Marvel Rivals offers players another fantastic opportunity to collect some complimentary rewards. As you navigate through a board game-like event pass brimming with goodies, the standout prize is the chic new Mrs. Barnes costume for Black Widow. While Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure spans over a month, the frenzied new mode Clone Rumble will make sporadic appearances during this time, adding to the fun.
Clone Rumble is an intriguing twist where each team votes for a hero, limiting the hero pool to just two characters. Players can then choose to play as one of these heroes during the entire 6v6 match. Picture an all-Groot lineup or a mix of Hulk and Hawkeye on one team—whatever the combination, it’s bound to be an… interesting… experience.
Mark your calendars for Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure; it kicks off on Friday, March 7, and runs until Friday, April 11. Meanwhile, Clone Rumble will be live over the next three weekends in Marvel Rivals. Here’s when you can dive in:
– Friday, March 7 at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am GMT / 10am CET – Monday, March 10 at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am GMT / 11am CET
– Friday, March 14 at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am GMT / 11am CET – Monday, March 17 at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am GMT / 11am CET
– Friday, March 21 at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am GMT / 11am CET – Monday, March 24 at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am GMT / 11am CET
Besides the new event, NetEase has rolled out some fresh patch notes for Marvel Rivals. While the focus is primarily on addressing bugs affecting several hero abilities, like Jeff’s Ice Surprise and Human Torch’s Meteor Mishap, there are some adjustments worth noting.
There’s now a feature that boosts the audio quality when using a microphone, and players can report anyone who abandons a match prematurely if they’re still present in that same match. Previously, disruptive players could dodge reports by exiting matches, but thanks to this update, that loophole is closed. You can explore the complete patch notes for more details.
