Last week flew by with a couple of releases slipping under the radar. Namco’s "Family Tennis," in its arcade VS version, made it into the Archives, along with another edition of Ys II slipping into the EggConsole. Out of the blue, Pocketpair surprised us with Overdungeon, a roguelike dungeon crawler. You heard that right—Pocketpair, the same studio known for titles that are basically always in Early Access, finally has something stable out there.
The start of 2025 has been on fire for remastered RPGs. Last week it was Ys Oath in Felghana/Freedom Wars Remastered, and this week steps up with Tales of Graces F, which is a remake of an older Wii game. Not to be outdone, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is hitting the shelves, becoming Nintendo’s significant comeback release of the quarter. Meanwhile, the indie scene gives us Blade Chimera from Playism, capturing the spotlight as the week’s standout title.
Beyond that, there’s a new hit from Kairosoft and a quirky release on the EggConsole that seems tantalizingly unplayable in English, judging from the eShop screenshots. And, well, that’s mostly the gist of last week’s gaming scene.
