Thunderful has just unveiled the second installment in their developer diary series for Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, which is on its way to Nintendo Switch.
This time around, we get insights from narrative director Oskar Hanska, who delves into intriguing aspects of the game’s storyline, shedding light on character choices and the art of voice acting.
Stormteller Games, previously known as Thunderful Gothenburg, is the creative force behind this new chapter in the mysterious and twisted Lost in Random universe, now stepping into the roguelite action genre.
The story picks up with Mare the Knight capturing Aleksandra, once known as The Queen, and her ally Fortune inside the ominous Black Die. Your mission is to navigate through a maze of randomly generated challenges. Along the way, you’ll battle fearsome foes and participate in epic board game-style confrontations.
Victory doesn’t just bring treasures to bolster your odds against Aleksandra’s captor. It’s your strategic thinking and the loyal die companion by your side that will guide you through this living maze, where malevolence rules and randomness is the law.
The publisher has spotlighted a few key features of the game:
– Mastery Meets Chance: Dive into exhilarating combat that marries real-time action with tactical decision-making, with a little luck added to the mix.
– Forge Your Playstyle: Arm yourself with four distinct weapons, hurl your die-companion, and combine over 100 relics with card-based abilities to create powerful playstyles.
– Ever-Changing World: Explore four diverse worlds, each randomly generated and filled with unique secrets and challenges, facing off against over 30 enemy types and fierce bosses.
– A Dark Fantasy Tale: Experience a richly told story, fully voiced in a world reminiscent of Tim Burton’s style, brought to life with hauntingly stunning visuals and a captivating soundtrack.
Lost In Random: The Eternal Die is set to make its digital debut on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch globally in the summer of 2025.
