Inin Games, a company known for its work in retro publishing, has taken over the rights to publish Shenmue 3.
In a recent announcement, Inin Games revealed that this new partnership is a result of their collaboration with YsNet, the game’s developer, on the project Air Twister.
Shenmue 3, a title long-awaited by fans, is a continuation of the much-adored Shenmue series. First announced in 2015, the game finally hit the shelves in 2019, with publishing initially managed by Deep Silver.
Inin Games expressed their excitement in a statement, saying, “We at Inin Games consider it a great honor to take charge of Shenmue during such a pivotal time in the series’ history.”
They went on to say, “Looking back over 20 years of creativity and dedication, we are committed to keeping Ryo Hazuki’s journey alive, welcoming both devoted followers and newcomers alike.”
The company assured fans that the Shenmue saga is still unfolding. “With this transition, Shenmue’s story is far from concluded. We’ve got some thrilling plans to honor these anniversaries and ensure this cherished series continues to captivate and motivate.
