Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might have had a rocky journey during development, but it wasn’t all bad. In fact, it managed to unfold through four seasons of entirely free post-launch content. Coincidentally, Goat Simulator 3 is now offering something similar, but with a lot less complexity involved.
Now, while the two games don’t have much in common, both let you unleash super-powered chaos in cities that are destined for destruction. However, with Goat Simulator 3, it’s clear that the players are the ones expected to stir up all that disorder, rather than any flamboyant henchmen of a supervillain.
Today, December 12, Coffee Stain announced that Goat Simulator 3’s Super Duper Pack DLC has dropped, coming with a free update that lets players save “up to 50 unique gear sets in the customization menu.” Before diving into all the juicy details, go ahead and check out the trailer below:
The Super Duper Pack DLC is currently priced at £6.69/$7.99. It boasts “20 new gears, 6 with abilities, 6 new instincts, and 2 new playable goats.” Watching the trailer, you’ll spot an array of setups showcasing goats in various superhero-style forms, though I have to admit, many appear more villain-like. Is that a robotic goat? And is there a goat made of rocks? One even resembles a tree trunk with legs rather than a goat! I can’t completely wrap my head around it, but it seems far more imaginative than your typical DC-inspired looter shooter or whatever Gotham Knights turned out to be.
Despite everything, since its release at the end of 2022, Goat Simulator 3 seems to have thrived, especially with a Steam launch rolling out earlier this year. While the original game felt, in my opinion, like an overhyped gag, Goat Simulator 3 genuinely delivers a lot of fun. It’s perfect for getting someone who’s not into gaming to try something new before diving into more serious titles. Plus, this year, it’s brought some exciting DLC to the table.
All jokes aside, I have to confess that I’m slightly intrigued by Suicide Squad’s potential final season, especially since Deathstroke stands out as the most impressive post-launch character. But, let’s be honest, he’s still not as cool as a demon goat.
