DodgeCraft is putting your reflexes to the test with its latest entry into the VR sports training scene, now available on both Quest and PlayStation VR2. This is the second offering from Belfast-based INCISIV Ltd, the creators of CleanSheet Soccer. DodgeCraft introduces itself as a blend of “fast action with the art of deception,” honing in on your agility through various gaming modes, which you can catch in action below.
The game currently offers two main modes for players to dive into. ‘Dodge’Em’ is all about keeping your body moving as you’re confronted with a barrage of asteroids, requiring you to expertly weave and duck out of harm’s way. Meanwhile, ‘Run the Gauntlet’ pits you against waves of bots and humanoid adversaries who employ cunning maneuvers to try and get past you. Not to mention, there’s support for mixed reality to keep things engaging.
In a prepared statement, INCISIV’s CEO, Professor Cathy Craig, revealed that her own sporting experiences inspired DodgeCraft. Back in her days as an out-half for Ulster Rugby, she often hesitated to fully commit to tackles.
“As a player, I would frequently hold back and avoid making the hit,” she shared. “DodgeCraft provides an excellent opportunity to learn how to anticipate and take decisive action as a defender, all without the fear of injury. Essentially, it allows you to train without the pain!”
You can jump into DodgeCraft today on the Meta Quest platform and PlayStation VR2.
