Cuisineer Set to Launch on Nintendo Switch This Month

XSEED Games, together with Marvelous Europe, has announced when players can expect Cuisineer to hit the Nintendo Switch.

Developed by BattleBrew Productions, this charming roguelite-meets-dungeon crawler invites you to step into the adventurous shoes of Pom. Once a wandering adventurer, Pom has now embraced the challenge of running her family’s restaurant.

Upon her return to her hometown, Paell, Pom finds the family eatery shut down and mired in debt. Determined to breathe new life into it, she must open the doors once more and turn the business into a bustling success story.

To achieve this, adventuring into various dungeons is on the menu. Armed with nothing but cooking gear, you’ll face off against quirky foes like giant chickens, shrimps equipped with artillery, and fire-spitting peppers.

Ransacking the area for ingredients, Pom will then whip up culinary masterpieces, transforming her run-down bistro into a culinary hub her folks would have been proud of.

Craft Your Culinary Journey: With over a hundred recipes from around the globe, the kitchen is your oyster. From crisp Popiah rolls to luscious Kaya jam—and crunchy fried chicken with a hint of lemon to berry-topped desserts—the variety is endless. Get those dishes just right for each customer and spruce up your kitchen with some local flair from artisans in the community.

An Array of Ever-Changing Dungeons: Journey through places like the lush Green Ruins or the icy Frozen Fjord. Each visit to these procedurally-generated biomes offers a new adventure with varying sizes, shapes, and resources.

Harness the Taste of Combat: Use the powers of seasoning! Wield salty, sour, sweet, bitter, umami, frosty, and toasty flavors to unleash fiery blasts, poison enemies, shoot chain lightning, and more. Get your hands on unique weapons like the Smackerel and the Tenderiser for flavorful battles!

Quests with Flavor: The town of Paell is bustling with colorful locals—from Naicha, the bubble tea aficionado, to Alder, the amiable carpenter. These townsfolk often need items from the dungeons. Help them out and rake in rewards like gold, new gear, and additional recipes to elevate your culinary quests.
