If you’re up for tackling some innovative engineering puzzles in virtual worlds, you’re in for a treat on the Quest this week. Get ready to dive into a slew of bridge-building challenges that will test your creativity in both virtual and mixed reality settings.
Initially, Bridge Constructor Studio was slated to make its appearance last week. This highly anticipated bridge-building sim is finally making its way to Quest, letting you construct and tweak your bridges using VR and the mixed reality capabilities of Quest 3. It’s arrived a bit later than expected, but as they say, better late than never!
Launching on December 12th, Bridge Constructor Studio offers an extensive campaign featuring 70 unique puzzles. Your mission? Create sturdy bridges that safely transport different vehicles from one point to another. You’ll have a variety of materials at your disposal: wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roadways to craft your masterpieces.
What sets this version apart from its flat-screen predecessors, or even its rival Poly Bridge, is the absence of preset budget restrictions or material limitations. However, if you enjoy a challenge, you can opt-in for these constraints and aim to earn a “special award,” according to the developers.
The fun doesn’t stop with just the campaign. Bridge Constructor Studio also offers a Scenario Creation Mode, which allows you to unleash your creativity and construct your custom bridge-building scenarios. You can save up to 40 of your personalized levels in your player profile.
The game comes from ClockStone STUDIO, known for their work on both the flat and XR versions of LEGO Bricktales (2023) and the various iterations of Bridge Constructor that first debuted back in 2011.
This engaging game is priced at just $10 and is set to be a Quest 2 and 3 exclusive starting December 12th. Interested players can find it on the Horizon Store, and get ready to test their engineering mettle!
