Sonic Debuts on Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Day

Did you manage to snag a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2 last night or this morning? If so, you’re in luck! SEGA just dropped some exciting news: Sonic is confirmed to make an appearance on the launch day. They’ve announced that "SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS" will be hitting the shelves on June 5th.

Joining Sonic on the launch lineup are "Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut" and "Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S." Both physical and digital pre-orders for these games are now live.

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS – Dive into a fresh story campaign as Shadow, showcasing new abilities that cement his status as the Ultimate Life Form! Plus, enjoy a remastered version of the popular Sonic Generations adventure. Experience time travel, iconic 3D and 2D stages, upgraded visuals, and bonus content.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S – Prepare for thrilling puzzle action! A new mode, "Puyo Tetris Doubles," lets you engage in 2v2 battles on a shared board to create killer combos. Whether local or online, take advantage of modes supporting up to four players. The game boasts a roster of 40 characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, each with unique stats and abilities.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut – Experience the ultimate edition of the beloved origin story from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza series, now enhanced for Nintendo Switch 2! This release includes new story cutscenes, a "Red Light Raid" online multiplayer mode for explosive co-op action, and language support with English, Chinese voice-overs, and subtitles in multiple languages.

Additionally, pre-orders are available for "RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army," set for release on June 19. Keep an eye out for "Two Point Museum," arriving later this year.
