Last week, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the latest offering from Jagex, made quite a splash on Steam, securing the position of the second highest-grossing game. Since its release on April 15th, the game has drawn in a peak of 52,641 users playing simultaneously, as reported by SteamDB. This is a noteworthy achievement for Jagex, given that they seldom release new titles.
Counter-Strike 2 retained its spot as the top-grossing game on Steam for the week. Meanwhile, Schedule 1 slipped to third place due to the successful debut of RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and the Steam Deck held steady at fourth.
In an interesting shift, Last Epoch, an action RPG, climbed back into the Top Ten, landing in fifth place – a significant leap of 76 positions from the previous week. This boost is largely attributed to the release of its second season of content. The co-op horror adventure REPO held its ground at sixth place.
However, Marvel Rivals experienced a slight dip, sliding four positions to seventh. On the other hand, Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian managed to climb up one spot, thanks in part to ongoing discounts on the Steam platform.
Notably, Tempest Rising, which is seen as a spiritual successor to Command and Conquer, debuted in tenth place. This was despite facing some technical hiccups at launch.
