Hello friends, I’m Kit Navock, and I’ve recently stepped into the role of CMO at Immersed. After selling my previous company, I found myself in a familiar situation many founders encounter—deciding what to do next and identifying the right people and projects to work with. To cut the story short, I joined Immersed because their vision was something I wholeheartedly believed in. If you’re also intrigued by this vision, there’s a chance for you to become an investor before we pick up even more speed! But first, let me walk you through how I landed here.
Immersed had caught my attention some years ago. I was one of the early investors and gradually became acquainted with the team through relaxing interactions like movie nights, sharing meals, and brainstorming sessions at their Austin office. I once even recruited someone from their social circle into my former business. What began with intrigue evolved into deep admiration. These weren’t just brilliant minds—they were determined, humble, and driven by a mission.
A few months back, I casually texted Renji, the founder of Immersed, regarding some basketball news. His response was straightforward: “You should come work with us.”
Initially, it seemed like an unexpected turn. I took his call more out of curiosity than anything else. Renji has a compelling way of speaking that stays with you, and this conversation was no exception. I pondered over it for days, seeking advice from my trusted circle of friends and mentors. I shared how I was enjoying a leisurely lifestyle—consulting for just 20 hours per week, freshly liberated from running a company. Still, this opportunity felt… different.
Everyone had the same advice: Go for it.
I ended up accepting a lower salary than I’ve had in years, with equity that might take a while to materialize. But this wasn’t about a quick win—it was about believing in the people and the product, something I had faith could grow into a significant player in tech. Getting hands-on with their work solidified my decision, and suddenly everything made perfect sense.
Let’s chat about the Visor, a groundbreaking XR device that’s surprisingly real. I’m relatively new to XR—not to tech, but to this unique AR/VR world. I missed those early days of duct-taping sensors and hacking OpenVR builds back in 2016. I was curious enough about spatial computing to pick up an Apple Vision Pro, and it did enhance my productivity and focus. However, trying out Visor—Immersed’s own headset—was a game-changer.
The Visor is about 186 grams, lighter than most smartphones, resembling a pair of thick sunglasses. It operates standalone, boosting dual 4K micro-OLED displays with a 3-hour battery life. Most importantly, it’s designed for real tools: from VS Code to Netflix. Unlike devices that feel like afterthoughts to your computer, Visor seamlessly fits into your workday.
It’s not a developers’ kit or a toy. It’s not heavy, nor does it carry a $3,499 price tag. It’s precisely what could convince the rest of the world that XR is ready for prime time.
Immersed isn’t just about creating an app—it’s building a dynamic platform. The plan is to transform from an app into a fully-fledged spatial computing platform, complete with an OS organized for deep work and native 3D applications. Imagining this evolution is akin to how Steve Jobs must have envisioned building an integrated ecosystem at Apple.
A standout feature is Curator AI, an integrated co-pilot that suits my workflow, streamlining context-switching, and subtly enhancing productivity. It’s the backbone of the platform, something many of us wished Siri could be. With OpenXR compatibility, developers can expand on the system to create tools, agents, or entire apps.
The goal isn’t merely to turn desktops into 3D. It’s about constructing spatial productivity from the ground up—baking AI into the framework right from the start. It’s a builder’s paradise.
Joining Immersed was never just about virtual floating screens and talking avatars. I joined because spatial computing is poised to revamp our work and life. It’s a powerful leap forward with immersive environments, specialized tools, and AI support—all set to arrive quicker than anticipated. Immersed has the right vision, technology, and team to make it happen.
This isn’t targeting just hobbyists. Immersed is crafting something for engineers, designers, traders, artists, filmmakers—anyone whose work involves a screen. As AI and humanoid robotics advance, the utility of an immersive, hassle-free spatial platform will only increase.
Visor is more than a headset. The Immersed platform transcends a mere virtual workspace. Curator isn’t just another AI agent. Together, they create a comprehensive ecosystem empowering us all to reach new heights.
We’re thrilled to introduce this to you.
If you’ve been waiting for a true contender in the XR space and the right company leading the charge, now’s your moment. Join Immersed in bringing spatial computing to the mainstream.
