Freedom Wars Remastered Update Version 1.4.0 Patch Notes
Bug Fixes
First off, a pesky issue where players would become unresponsive in the online multiplayer lobby when someone else joined after they’d set their status to READY has been sorted out.
When partying up in a Private Room, there was an annoying screen freeze that happened if the host canceled the matching process. That’s been ironed out, ensuring smoother gameplay.
Another notable fix concerns the Contribution Start Circle. Previously, if multiple players tried to interact with it at the same time in a Co-op Room, they couldn’t all mark themselves as READY. This bug is now resolved.
In terms of enemy interactions, items that shouldn’t have been dropping were sometimes appearing as loot. This has been corrected to ensure only the appropriate items are dropped.
There was also an issue during online multiplayer Contribution Missions where enemy reinforcements failed to appear, blocking mission completion. This problem has now been dealt with.
Players faced a frustrating screen darkening problem when Natalia’s sentence was added during the solitary confinement scene, halting progression. That’s now fixed.
Moreover, some special operations would repeatedly show up in the Contribution list even after being completed, leading to unintentional repetitions. Thankfully, this glitch has been addressed.
For players who overstepped the augmentation cost limit, those augmentations will now be automatically unequipped to maintain balance.
A bug that prevented the "great criminal" icon from being visible to other players has also been corrected.
Additionally, upon transferring to a new panopticon, there was an issue with city-state and ranking board updates not reflecting accurately—this is now fixed.
During contributions, ally characters previously exhibited strange behavior when carrying citizens. This has been smoothed over to improve gameplay consistency.
Several other bugs have also been patched up.
Specification Adjustments/Changes
A significant adjustment involves the GDPP value tied to the delivery of the Willonite: Minimum Purity item.
When reviving a character by approaching them, the Thorn Gauge will no longer be consumed. However, revivals executed by shooting thorns still cost gauge points as before.
When carrying citizens, the time spent staggering after bumping into obstacles has been reduced for a better flow during contributions.
For the heavy melee weapons, specifically the [Mimas] and [Caliburn] types, the attack hitbox has been aligned with their visual attack range to ensure accuracy.
In terms of power attacks while connected to the Thorn, instead of inadvertently triggering a non-chargeable special attack, players will now perform a chargeable normal attack. All Thorn connections will now also be canceled during a power attack across all weapon types.
Previously, players couldn’t open the chat between the end of a contribution and seeing the results. Now, chat access is available immediately following successful contributions.
The attack area for Dionaea’s [Dragon Beam] has been fine-tuned for better alignment between visual and actual impact.
On the Modular Synthesis screen, modules currently in use will now be marked with an [E] for equipped, enhancing clarity.
Lastly, various tweaks have been made to emote behaviors, making them more user-friendly.
Upcoming Fixes and Changes
Looking ahead, the ability to input Japanese character names using Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji will be introduced.
For weapons with mutations, an unintended critical hit multiplier will be corrected.
There’s also a plan to ensure defensive boosters properly display their effect in the damage stats.
The team will address a health augmentation issue where the [Health Enhancement] wasn’t functioning correctly in the game.
Audio adjustments are on the horizon, aimed at improving the balance so that in-game voices are more audible.
Finally, expect a general sweep of bug fixes and technical adjustments in future updates to keep the game running smoothly.
This comprehensive update should significantly enhance the gameplay experience for players across the globe.
