Supergiant Games has just rolled out its second big update for Hades 2 on PC, which is still in the early access phase. Known as the Warsong Update, this release takes players right to the summit of Mount Olympus for what promises to be “the final confrontation.” Excitingly, this update introduces Ares, the god of war, to the game along with plenty of additional features. Players can expect a new animal companion to join them, along with fresh story and voice lines, revamped boons, the intriguing Altar of Ashes, more resource gathering opportunities, and upgraded menus.
Let’s dive into what Supergiant Games themselves are saying about these changes:
In a recent post, the team shared some insights into the game’s development journey. They’ve already set their sights on a third major update, anticipated to roll out in a few months. However, they mentioned it’s a bit premature to nail down when exactly Hades 2 will step out of early access and officially launch.
“Early Access is a crucial part of developing Hades II, and we hope you’re sensing that with each of our Major Updates and other patches so far,” Supergiant Games commented. “Now that the core structures of both the Underworld and Surface routes are firmly in place, we’re excited to shift gears towards expanding the game’s content, and we’ll keep building on what we’ve established until it’s all complete!”
The best part? The Hades 2 Warsong Update comes at no cost. If you’re eager to dive in, Supergiant Games advises you might need to restart Steam to kickstart the download.
