Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is set to hit PC and consoles on February 11th, but there’s exciting news for VR enthusiasts. Firaxis, along with publisher 2K Games, recently announced that a unique version of the game will be launching on Quest this spring.
This Quest-exclusive iteration has been crafted specifically for the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. It offers a fresh twist on the classic, allowing you to construct your civilization from a first-person viewpoint. Whether in virtual or mixed reality modes, you’ll get to oversee your growing empire like never before.
Developed by PlaySide Studios with 2K handling the publishing, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR is geared up to deliver both solo adventures and online multiplayer fun. You can join forces—or compete—with up to three fellow Quest 3 and Quest 3S users, making each session a dynamic experience.

While an exact launch date remains under wraps, 2K has marked spring 2025 as the targeted release window, announced during the Civ World Summit this past weekend.
