Dark Passenger, a game development studio from Poland, has just scored a significant $3 million in funding. This exciting move is backed by The Games Fund, with additional support from Blite Fund. With this fresh capital influx, the studio, formed by industry veterans from CD Projekt, is gearing up for their debut game—a third-person multiplayer stealth action adventure set in the atmospheric world of feudal Japan.
Discussing this major investment, CEO Jakub Ben expressed his enthusiasm: “The multiplayer scene is more vibrant than ever, yet there’s still so much potential waiting to be harnessed.” Ben emphasized that The Games Fund shares their imagination, trust, and clear vision—qualities that were crucial for understanding Dark Passenger’s innovative path.
“This funding is a game-changer,” he noted. “It’s allowed us to strengthen our team and lay solid foundations for our project, freeing us to concentrate on bringing our vision to life.”
Echoing this excitement, Ilia Eremeev, co-founder of The Games Fund, remarked on the scarcity of games that truly push boundaries and create thrilling experiences that leave a lasting impression. “From our first glimpse of their demo, we knew Dark Passenger was onto something special,” he said.
Eremeev was impressed by the game’s quality, especially considering the team’s size and the development timeline. “We immediately clicked with their vision of delivering an exhilarating, pure power fantasy. We’re delighted to support these remarkable founders as they embark on this journey.”
