Elon Musk, known as the world’s wealthiest individual and a newfound confidant of President-elect Trump, is stepping into the gaming arena by planning to launch a game studio.
On his platform, X (previously known as Twitter), Musk shared his somewhat indistinct plans. He bought this social media site in October 2022, and it’s seen a decline in users, especially after the US presidential race. “Too many game studios […] are owned by massive corporations,” Musk remarked on the morning of November 27. He then declared that his own large corporation, xAI, is launching an AI game studio with the aim to “make games great again.”
xAI describes its mission as “developing artificial intelligence to speed up human scientific discovery, […] driven by a goal to enhance our collective comprehension of the universe.” The company is most recognized for Grok, a ChatGPT-like chatbot for subscribers of X Premium. Musk established xAI in March 2023.
For those invested in this sector who have moved away from X in search of better options, it’s clear that keeping tabs on Musk remains crucial. He continues to align himself with President-elect Donald Trump, who has a history of supporting business ventures of his allies and turning their adversaries into his own as well.
