They’ve got some great offers lined up, including free online multiplayer weekends and some enticing movie discounts for PS Plus subscribers.

Starting from December 6, 2024, PlayStation is opening up its online multiplayer features for free over the weekend. Gamers can dive into their favorite games’ online modes without any extra charges until December 8, 2024. This offer is available for both PS5 and PS4 users, so grab your console and jump in!

Coinciding with this free access period, several exciting PS5 esports tournaments are set to kick off. Games like EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24, and Guilty Gear Strive will be featured. If you own these games and meet the requirements, you can compete from December 6-8 for a chance to win avatars and other cool prizes. To join, PS5 players can register via the Game Hub or through the in-game PlayStation Tournaments button.

For PS Plus subscribers, there are plenty of ways to save during the holiday season. From December 10 to 23, a sweepstakes will be running, where 30 lucky winners per country can snag a 30-month Premium membership. All you need to do to enter is play a game from the Classics Catalog through a Premium membership. The countries participating include Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, and Malaysia.

In addition, PS Plus members can enjoy a sweet 30% discount on over 100 movies on Sony Pictures Core from December 3-9. The lineup includes hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Plus, if you buy a 12-month PS Plus membership, you’ll also receive movie credits for the Sony Pictures Core app.
