Cyberpunk 2077, the ambitious sci-fi RPG, has taken the gaming world by storm, selling over 30 million copies so far. This impressive feat was shared by CD Projekt’s Chief Financial Officer Piotr Nielubowicz, as reported by VGC, during the company’s financial update for the quarter ending in September.
Adding to the game’s success, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also made waves, with over eight million units sold to date.
Fans have even more to look forward to as Cyberpunk 2077 is set to make its debut on Mac devices soon. Additionally, a new animation project, rooted in the Cyberpunk universe, is currently in the works.
“I’ve got some exciting news from Night City,” Nielubowicz shared. “We’ve reached a new milestone with Cyberpunk 2077 sales surpassing 30 million copies, and the Phantom Liberty expansion hitting eight million units sold.”
He emphasized, “These figures are a testament to the vast community of fans and the immense interest surrounding the Cyberpunk universe. Both achievements are crucial as we’ve recently unveiled plans for the game and its expansion to launch on Mac devices equipped with Apple Silicon chips next year.”
Wrapping up with more thrilling news for fans, Nielubowicz added, “I’m thrilled to announce we’re developing a new animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will premiere on Netflix.”
